The Birds and the Bees, A Celebration of Spring in Malibu
The Cultural Arts Commission is inviting artists to submit artwork for the 2020 spring art exhibition.
The Call to Artists will close on Thursday, February 20, 2020. Local artists are encouraged to submit paintings, photography, sculptures, short films, written work, poetry, and other art inspired by Malibu’s spring season. Artwork may include depictions of Malibu’s natural beauty, such as flora, fauna, or native habitats. The City will accept online submissions through ArtCall.org. The Opening Reception of The Birds and the Bees, A Celebration of Spring in Malibu at Malibu City Hall has been canceled out of an abundance of caution due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Artwork will be displayed as scheduled from March 23 through May 29, 2020, at Malibu City Hall (23825 Stuart Ranch Road) Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Admission is complimentary.
2020 Call to Artists
The Malibu Cultural Arts Commission plans to open a variety of Call to Artists in 2020. Artists interested in receiving text messages or emails about the Calls should register for alerts through the Malibu Arts and Culture website.
