In 2020, Los Angeles County will transition from polling places to vote centers. This new model will allow voters to cast a ballot at any vote center location in the County over an 11-day period. The Vote Center Placement Project's (VCPP) core mission is to identify and place accessible and convenient vote center locations throughout Los Angeles County.
Vote Center Placement Project Community Meeting
Tuesday, May 7, 2019
The LA County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) and the League of Women Voters Los Angeles offer the public an opportunity to learn about the new innovative and accessible voting system and implementation of vote centers that will provide convenient locations for voting anywhere in the County over an 11-day voting period.
A series of 34 community meetings will be held throughout the County for residents to learn how their voting experience will be improved through VCPP. Each community meeting will include a presentation and take-home materials, as well as provide attendees the opportunity to ask questions.
This meeting on May 7 will cover the areas of: Malibu, Santa Monica, Santa Monica Mountains, West Los Angeles, Bel Air, Beverly Crest, Brentwood, Century City, Mandeville Canyon, Mar Vista, Pacific Palisades, Palisades Highlands, Palms, Rancho Park, and Venice.
