Community resilience can be defined as the sustained capacity of a community to adapt to changing conditions, recover from adverse situations, and regain vitality. Malibu is in the difficult process of recovering from the devastating Woolsey Fire. Our coastal area and community are vulnerable to natural hazards and the increasing impacts of climate change. In order to better prepare for future disasters and severe weather events, the City aims to create a comprehensive and actionable resiliency plan. The success of this plan depends on input from the community.
