Featured Authors: Jo Giese and Louis Spirito 

Jo Giese is an award-winning radio journalist, author, teacher, community activist, and former TV reporter. In her memoir Never Sit If You Can Dance: Lessons from My Mother, Giese examines the delicate and complicated relationship between mothers and daughters.   

Louis Spirito's novel Gimmie Shelter examines an unlikely bond between a man and a pit bull and the intricate relationship that saves them both.
