Caffeinated Verse, Open Mic Poetry with Featured Reader Doug Rucker

Saturday, January 15, 2022

Join Malibu Poet Laureate Ann Buxie at Caffeinated Verse. The program will include a featured reader, Doug Rucker.

An RSVP is required by calling 310-456-2489, ext. 349 or complete the online form. Registered participants will receive an email with the Zoom link by the Friday before the program.

At the age of 30 Doug Rucker opened his first permanent office as an architect operating solely in Malibu. Seven years ago at age 85 Doug gradually finished his 55-year architectural profession. He’d completed a hundred and forty projects mostly in Malibu. Now retired from architecture, he brings a special passion to writing, poetry and photographic art. Since retirement Doug has been photographing realistic pictures and realism with reflections. Recently he’s been doing abstracts using items found while highway jogging, broken headlights, shattered stoplights, parts of children’s toys, cracked mirrors and anything having a good line, unusual shape, or color suitable to photograph something beautiful. Thirty-one of Doug’s hardcover books are available through AMAZON.

Poet Laureate Buxie will host an additional poetry programs monthly at 11:00 AM.
