Jesse Bobbett joined the City of Mailbu with over 14 years of experience in the municipal parks and recreation field. He previously worked eight years with the City of El Segundo, most recently as Recreation Superintendent, where he oversaw several areas, including Adult and Youth Sports, Older Adults, Cultural Arts, Transportation, Teens, and Aquatics. During this time, Jesse was instrumental in several key projects, including the implementation of new and updated facility fees through the City's Fee Analysis Task Force, and served as the City Liaison for the Los Angeles County Comprehensive Parks Needs Assessment. Additionally, he developed policies and procedures for facilities to increase reservation revenue, and he secured over $75,000 in sponsorship donations for department special events and programs.
Jesse is originally from Kansas and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sports and Fitness Management from the University of Kansas. He brings a wealth of experience working in beach communities and has served on the California Parks and Recreation Society District 9 Board since 2014. He enjoys developing relationships with the public, fellow City employees, and dignitaries while bringing leadership and a positive attitude to his work.
