The City of Malibu’s public infrastructure is essential to providing a safe and reliable services for the community and visitors. The Capital Improvement Program includes the construction, improvement, repair and maintenance projects of the public infrastructure. The City of Malibu recognizes the importance of carefully considering which projects are necessary to implement each year so that the community may benefit, both now and in the future. These projects consist of resurfacing the City’s roadways, storm drainage repairs and improvements, traffic signal improvements, improvements to parks and streets as well as wastewater and other water quality improvements. The projects also include those infrastructure repair projects which were damaged as a result of the Woolsey Fire. These projects will improve the public infrastructure, improve safety, and preserve the City’s largest assets.
On August 22, 2022 the City Council adopted the City’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for Fiscal Years 2022-2027. The CIP provides a framework for identifying, planning, budgeting, prioritizing, and implementing the projects. Each year, the CIP will be updated to include new capital projects and those projects identified in the upcoming year’s budget.
