Opening Reception at Malibu City Gallery of Works by Artist Richard Reiner postponed due to weather. a new date will be announced.
POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER - The City of Malibu Arts Commission invites the community to a free opening reception for the next public art exhibition at City Hall, “Land, Water, Spirit,” featuring the paintings of Richard Reiner on Sunday, November 16 at 12:00 PM.
“Malibu’s arts community continues to thrive and evolve,” said Mayor Marianne Riggins. “Exhibitions like this showcase Malibu’s incredible talent and deepen our shared appreciation for the natural world and the creative voices it inspires.”
Guests will enjoy complimentary light refreshments, live music, and a special Q&A with the artist. Live music will be performed by Martini Kings. Admission is free and open to all - no RSVP is required.
The exhibition, curated by the Malibu Arts Commission, will be on view from November 17, 2025, through January 2, 2026.
Born in the Bronx and raised in the Northeast, Richard Reiner was introduced to the arts at an early age through his family’s regular visits to museums and galleries. After a 25-year career as a talent agent in the entertainment industry, a chance opportunity rekindled his passion for painting. An avid adventurer with a passion for the outdoors, Reiner’s work explores the beauty, power, and serenity of nature. His paintings have also appeared on television productions, including CBS’s “The Mentalist” and NBC’s “This Is Us.”
The Malibu City Gallery is located on the first floor of Malibu City Hall, 23825 Stuart Ranch Road, and is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission is always free, and no tickets or RSVPs are required.
