MALIBU RESIDENTS CAN GIVE PUBLIC COMMENT ON LA COUNTY HOMELESS INITIATIVE FUNDING THROUGH FEB. 25

The Los Angeles County Homeless Initiative is collecting Public Comment through February 25 for Measure H Funding Recommendations for Fiscal Year 2021-2022, which starts on July 1. Share your perspectives on what is working well, what gaps exist and the most effective ways to use the funding.

Measure H, passed by voters in 2017, created a tax to provide funding to prevent and reduce homelessness. The City of Malibu received Measure H funding to develop its Homelessness Strategic Plan (adopted by the City Council in June 2018). Measure H has funding for a Housing Navigator, who works with the outreach team and landlords to help people experiencing homelessness to get off the streets and into housing.

Submit your comments and ideas to the County online.

See Malibu's Homeless Strategic Plan, and all of its efforts to address homelessness on the City web page.
