Experience the Electrifying Art of “Taz” AT THE MALIBU CITY GALLERY AT City Hall THROUGH OCTOBER 24

The City of Malibu Arts Commission invites the community to enjoy the works of legendary artist Jim “Taz” Evans at the Malibu City Gallery at Malibu City Hall (23825 Stuart Ranch Road) now through October 24, 2025.

Evans — widely known as TAZ — rose to prominence in the San Francisco underground rock scene and went on to shape the visual identity of punk, rock, and alternative music through his explosive poster art, comic-inspired graphics, and vibrant album covers. His work has been commissioned by legendary bands including Foo Fighters, U2, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Oasis, Beastie Boys, and Metallica, and by recording artists such as Beck, Aerosmith, House of Pain, and Neil Young.

As the founder of the TAZ Collective, Evans has produced hundreds of gig posters and album covers, while also expanding into fine art and large-scale street art activations for major studios such as Sony, Warner Bros., and Orion Pictures. His work has been exhibited worldwide and in galleries alongside influential artists including Ed Ruscha, Ed Moses, and Estevan Oriol.

The Malibu City Gallery is located on the first floor of Malibu City Hall, 23825 Stuart Ranch Road, and is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission is always free, and no tickets or RSVPs are required.
