OVERVIEW
The Woolsey Fire, which broke out in Chatsworth on the afternoon of Thursday, November 8, and reached Malibu early Friday morning. A mandatory evacuation was issued for all of Malibu on Friday, November 9.
City Hall is Open
City departments are staffed and working regular hours. The City is open to all residents, businesses and visitors, with the exception of some road closures for safety or infrastructure repairs.
Open Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Fridays 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The Planning Public Counter is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM. For general information, call 310-456-2489 or email info@malibucity.org.
DISASTER RECOVERY CENTER
The Malibu DRC is located in the former Malibu Courthouse (23555 Civic Center Way) with a full staffing of county, state and agencies and non-profit organizations, and City of Malibu Planning and Building Safety staff to help fire victims recover and rebuild. FEMA now has more staff on hand and can now process claims on-site. For more information, including a list of agencies, visit MalibuCity.org/DRC.
