[ARCHIVED] Message from the Mayor

Untitled

The following is a message from Mayor Rick Mullen to the community:

As we enter into the fourth full day of the Woolsey Fire, the entire City of Malibu still remains under mandatory evacuation. We urge those who have not yet evacuated to get out of the City now. We know this is an extremely stressful time, and our primary concern is for your safety. Be vigilant and heed the direction of our public safety officials, which will help them do their work to protect your homes.

City staff continue to be a resource and are working hard to push out timely, relevant information on our website at www.malibucity.org/woolsey, on Twitter @CityMalibu and //Facebook.com/CityofMalibu. Calls to City Hall at 310-456-2489 are being forwarded to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) where staff are available to answer questions 24/7.

There will be a community town hall meeting for concerned residents today at 5:00 PM at Taft Charter High School in Woodland Hills located at 5461 Winnetka Avenue.
