[ARCHIVED] Caltrans Community Outreach Meeting - Corral Cyn Beach Pedestrian Signal

Caltrans meeting

Caltrans will host a community outreach meeting at Malibu City Hall on Tuesday, March 26 at 5:30 PM to discuss its Pedestrian Signal Project at 25653 Pacific Coast Hwy (PCH), in Malibu. The community is welcomed to learn more about the pedestrian signal and ask Caltrans representatives questions about the project.

Caltrans proposes the pedestrian hybrid signal, which would only be activated when a pedestrian pushes the button, to increase safety for both pedestrians and motorists at the location near Malibu Seafood and Corral Canyon Beach where beachgoers commonly cross PCH.

Caltrans is nearing completion of another project to install an improved protective median down the middle of PCH between Latigo Canyon Rd and Puerco Canyon Rd, that will increase safety for pedestrians and deter motorists from making illegal U-turns on PCH while pulling into and out of beach parking.
