Life Line Screenings - Are you at risk for stroke, heart disease or diabetes?

(Malibu, CA) The Malibu Senior Center will host Life Line Screening, a leading provider of community-based, affordable health screenings, on Friday, August 29, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
The preventive health event will feature five non-invasive, painless screenings that scan for potential problems related to:
Blocked arteries - a leading cause of stroke
Abdominal aortic aneurysms- can lead to a ruptured aorta
Hardening of the arteries in the legs - a strong predictor of heart disease
Atrial fibrillation or irregular heartbeat- closely tied to stroke risk
Bone density screening for men and women will also be provided to assess the risk of osteoporosis.
A Wellness Package, which includes four vascular tests and osteoporosis screening, is available from $149. All five screenings take 60-90 minutes to complete. The screenings will take place at the Malibu Senior Center and are offered for adults by appointment only.
