Student Intern Program

About the Program

The City of Malibu Student Intern Program exposes students to public service and promotes a career interest in local government while enhancing professional skills and competence. At the same time, the City benefits from the skills and fresh perspective a student intern can bring.

Student interns are utilized in the various City departments (Administration, City Clerk's Office, City Manager's Office, Community Services, Environmental Sustainability, Planning, and Public Works) and have the opportunity to work on administrative assignments and special projects.

The Student Intern Program is open to currently enrolled high school, undergraduate or graduate students and is administered by the City Clerk's Office.

Student intern applications for the 2017-2018 school year were accepted from August 10 through September 8, 2017.
