Caltrans: PCH Reduced to One Lane North of Porto Marina Way Due to Storm Impacts

Pacific Coast Highway Reduced to One Lane North of Porto Marina Way Due to Storm Impacts

Northbound PCH (SR-1) is currently reduced to one lane for approximately a quarter mile just north of Porto Marina Way due to storm-related damage to a retaining wall previously impacted by the 2025 Palisades Fire.

The lane was closed on Feb. 16 after wall panels loosened during recent rainstorms and fell into the right lane. Crews are replacing damaged panels and applying shotcrete to reinforce the wall while engineers evaluate long-term repair solutions. The lane is expected to reopen later this week.

PCH between Sunset Boulevard in Pacific Palisades and Carbon Beach Terrace in Malibu remains an active fire recovery work zone. The speed limit is 25 mph, and weekday lane closures may occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Motorists should slow down, drive with caution, and expect delays.
