Excursion to the Ventura County Fair - Tuesday, August 5

(Malibu, CA) The Malibu Senior Center will be heading to the Ventura County Fair on Tuesday, August 5, from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. All ages are welcome on this excursion.
The bus will depart from the Malibu Senior Center (located in City Hall at 23825 Stuart Ranch Road, Malibu). Price is $5 for those over 65 years old, and $20 for those under 65, which includes transportation and fair entrance fees. Participants must register by July 31.
The Ventura County Fair began in 1875, where the primary focus was horse racing. The fair was enjoyed so much that it continued every year up until today with the exception of a few years during World War II. The tradition continues with the opening of the 139th Ventura County Fair, themed "A Country Fair with Ocean Air." Participants will be on their own to explore the livestock barns, shop, see a show, and enjoy Fair favorite snacks like spiral fries and cotton candy. Lunch is not included; participants are welcome to enjoy the Fair independently.
