Ecology Professor to Discuss Chaparral Wildfires in Malibu at Senior Center/Pepperdine Lecture Series
(Malibu, CA) - In the second installment of the new Malibu Senior Center/Pepperdine University Lecture Series, ecology professor Dr. Stephen Davis will present "Chaparral Wildfires in Malibu: A Plant Ecologist’s Perspective” on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at Malibu City Hall.
Dr. Davis is a Distinguished Professor of Biology at Pepperdine University. He has served as coordinator of Pepperdine’s Summer Undergraduate Research Program in Biology, has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Southern California Conferences for Undergraduate Research (SCCUR), and was the lead organizer for the 18th annual meeting of SCCUR in 2010. He has been selected as a Harried and Charles Luckman Distinguished Teaching Fellow at Pepperdine University.
